ONE IN THE CANNES PRODUCTIONS is the brainchild of prolific director, actress and producer, Maggie Grant. Created in 2008, it grew out a series of plays she directed and produced in North Hollywood, called The Writer Speaks. She produced and directed 150 full productions of original one-act plays in 23 months at her theatre, Three Roses Players, in North Hollywood.
She has a BFA in Acting from the University of Miami famous for The Ring Theatre and went on to obtain an MFA in both Theare and Directing from Carnegie Mellon University.
She has acted in over 650 MainStage productions in the US and London, films, television and commercials.
Filmmaker, director, writer, actress and producer, she started acting at the age of 4 and wrote, directed and produced her fist musical at 6. She has acted all over the US and London. She has an MFA in theatre and an MFA in directing. As well as studying Shakespeare at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA, London)
Her studies with Stella Adler, Eric Morris, Sande Shurin, Jeff Goldblum and many other master teachers, have helped her to star in over 600 main stage productions, and to direct over 650 stage and film productions. She has had six theatre companies across the U.S., her latest being Three Roses Players in Los Angeles.
Recently she had the amazing privilege of directing ED ASNER and BARBARA BAIN in PACIFIC EDGE. It is a short film with a lot of heart and amazing, unforgettable performances. The film also stars Eric Cottrell, Michael Marc Friedman, Josh Davis, Pamela Roberts and Rebecca Brooks.
She also had the great privilege of working with Mr. Comedy himself, CARL REINER, in directing and acting in two staged readings of his new full-length play Shakespeare Was Wrong.
Maggie is currently working with Joe Bologna to bring his excellent play BITTER ANGEL starring Lou Gossett, Jr. and Bruce Davison to the stage.
At Three Roses Players, Maggie had the idea to have the LA audiences vote on their favorite plays and she has been adapting the highest scoring plays into films, as both director and producer. The first was Brotherhood, adapted from the one-act play of the same name by Garry Michael Klugger. Nine other short films have followed this far. Her latest work is Pacific Edge, starring the iconic 7 time Emmy and 5 time Golden Globe Awards winning Ed Asner and Barbara Bain, Erin Cottrell (The Identical, The New Little House On The Prairie), Michael Marc Friedman, Josh Davis, Pamela Roberts and Rebecca Brooks. The original award winning play and adaptation was written by Barbara Lindsay .
Match Made also stars 3 time Emmy Award winning actress Barbara Bain, (Mission Impossible Space 1999) as well as film star Robert Miano (Donnie Brasco, 2:22) written by Dale Griffiths Stamos.

Match Made broke the record at the 15th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival for being the only film to ever screen 4 times at the festival.
Maggie's Film Production Company, One In The Cannes Productions, (Maggie has high hopes!) born in 2008, she has directed and produced the short films: Pacific Edge, Match Made, Brotherhood, Alexander the Great, The Proposal, Smitten, The Promise and Go Green (so far). Maggie has several new films in pre production and is also creating a television reality show she will be directing and producing the pilot in May, 2014. She also just created, directed, produced and wrote a pilot for a terrific new game show, watch for that. She is on a roll!
